It’s an honor to be a part of what God is doing in the world and through Legacy. And we want to see that impact continue!
Currently, our offerings are behind our actual need for this fiscal year, which ends June 30, 2024.
If we can increase our offerings $4,000/week and eliminate our current deficit, we will have the resources to continue running our ministries without interruption. So we’re challenging you to step up and to become a Sustainer.
Regular, repeating offerings are extremely helpful in projecting and planning ministry. It’s pretty simple: we’re able to plan our impact much more accurately if we can forecast how much people expect to give. With that in mind, we’re asking:
Will you consider signing up for a new recurring donation?
If you’re already a recurring giver, will you consider an increase in your giving?
Increasing our offerings by $4,000 weekly will happen because many of us work together and answer the call.
For example, we can reach our goal if 200 out of our more than 400 households that call Legacy home make new or increased commitments of $20 per week.
We hope you will prayerfully consider the challenge and join us as we sustain God’s work through Legacy together!
WHAT IF I ALREADY GIVE, BUT NOT A RECURRING GIFT?
There are hundreds of people who make periodic contributions to our church each year, which we appreciate a great deal! If you’re one of them, we would love it if you created a recurring gift on our website. But keep in mind that only new and increased recurring giving will go toward meeting our $4,000 weekly goal.
IF I WANT TO INCREASE MY GIVING, DO I NEED TO SET UP A NEW RECURRING OFFERING IF I ALREADY HAVE ONE?
Either way is fine! You can just increase your current giving schedule if you’d prefer.
WHAT IF I’D RATHER GIVE BY CHECK OR CASH?
Online giving is easy, and it streamlines our planning for ministry. However, if you’d prefer giving by check or cash, pick up a commitment card at the Connection Desk or fill it out online.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RECURRING GIFT?
We realize that unexpected circumstances come up. You can change, pause or cancel your recurring offering at any time.
WHAT IF I JUST WANT TO GIVE A ONE-TIME GIFT?
We certainly appreciate every donation we receive! However, for this project, our goal is to increase our regular, ongoing offerings. So only contributions connected to a recurring offering will go toward meeting our goal. (You might consider breaking your gift into smaller weekly contributions, however.)
