Summer at Legacy
Summer is a wonderful and cherished season in North Dakota! While some of our regular programs take a break during the summer months, there are still plenty of opportunities to connect, grow in faith, and have fun together.
We invite you to stay connected, bring a friend, and be part of what God is doing at Legacy this summer. (If you're not already on our email list but would like to be, please let us know!)
Please note that we have transitioned to a single Sunday morning service at 10 am. There are no Wednesday night dinners or activities during the summer.
Everyone
Sunday Morning Worship: Join us every Sunday morning for one worship service at 10 am, either in person or streaming live via our YouTube channel.
Shoes of Hope: Get involved with our annual Shoes of Hope ministry! This year's event will take place Sunday, August 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm at South Central High School, near Kiwanis Park in south Bismarck. There are opportunities to donate, volunteer, and spread the word.
Joint Legacy Students + Kids
Waterpark Day: Wednesday, June 17
Legacy Students and Kids are invited to our annual Waterpark Day event at Raging Rivers in Mandan on June 17th from 1 – 4 pm! Open to grades K–12. (Kindergarteners must have a parent with. Other parents are welcome to join us if you wish.) Cost is $14. Concessions are on your own. If you need a ride from the church, please let Shane or Kaila know as soon as possible. Please bring $14, church-appropriate swimsuit, sunscreen, money for concessions if wanted, towel, and change of clothes. Save the date to join us!
Legacy Kids
Super Summer SONdays: June 7, June 21, July 12, July 26, August 9, and August 23
Join us on select Sunday mornings through the summer for Super Summer SONday! Kids from preschool – 5th grade are invited to join us for fun, friendship, games, laughter, and growing in faith together while the grownups are in worship. Every time you attend, your name will be entered into our hoverboard giveaway—and when you bring a friend, both of you get extra entries! But more than anything, Super Summer SONday is a place where kids can have fun, make friends, and know they are loved by God and by this church community. We can’t wait to see you there! Legacy Kids + 6th Grade Wesley Acres Summer Camp: Monday – Wednesday, June 29 – July 1
Legacy Kids and Students in grades K-3 and 4-6 are welcome to join Shane for a few days at Wesley Acres Camp and Retreat Center, a United Methodist facility and a ministry of our Dakotas Annual Conference in Dazey, ND. Shane will provide transportation to and from the camp in the Legacy van.

Vacation Bible Camp: Tuesday and Wednesday, August 4 and 5
Save the date for the Legacy Kids Vacation Bible Camp happening during the day on August 4 and 5! Children ages four years – completed 5th grade are welcome to join us. The time will be 9 am – 3 pm for kindergarten – 5th grade, and 9 am – 12:30 pm for four years – kindergarten. Weather depending, we'll have outdoor events and activities that may include water. Legacy Students
Fire Nites: Sundays, June 7, July 12, and August 9
Good friends. Campfire snacks. Summer nights. Real conversations. Join us around Legacy's fire pit at 6 pm for a laid-back night to hang out, catch up on life, laugh a lot, and just enjoy being together. Whether you’ve been around forever or you’re brand new, there’s always room by the fire. Bring a friend, wear clothes you don’t mind smelling like smoke afterward, and come ready for a great night. We’re wrapping up summer vacation with a night of messy games, laughter, fun, and unforgettable memories as we head into a new school year together.
