Legacy Kids
Legacy Kids strives to be welcoming to all children, wherever they are on their faith journey. We provide a safe, loving, Jesus-filled environment for all children, from babies under 2 years in our Nursery to the Preteens in our 4th and 5th grade class. Throughout the year, Legacy Kids participate in various mission projects and family events. We also have Vacation Bible School every year in June.
If you have any questions or if you are interested in getting involved in Legacy Kids, let us know! Also, if your child has a special need, please let us know so we can provide qualified staff or learning tools to make their experience at Legacy Kids wonderful! All kids are welcome at Legacy Kids, and no preregistration is ever necessary for Sundays or Wednesdays.
We are so excited to welcome back and see all our friends in Legacy Kids!
Sundays at 10:00am – Full Legacy Kids programming. Start at the kids check-in desk, then join nursery, preschool, and elementary kids for worship, large group lessons, and small group activities.
Wednesdays at 6:00pm – Runs during the school year. Join us for supper at 5:30pm and then check at the kids check-in desk for a large group lesson and games. Pickup time is 7:15pm. Parents are encouraged to stay for Wednesday night adult classes or to volunteer in other Wednesday night activities.
To provide a safe and secure environment in which all kids can learn about Jesus, we use a check in/check out system anytime Legacy Kids is going on. We also run background checks and interview everyone on our Legacy Kids volunteer team.
Elementary
Sunday: Elementary Kids (kindergarten – 5th grade) have a monthly theme which all Bible lessons and activities build on, but each week can also stand alone. Elementary kids experience exciting large group worship with music and a different way of experiencing the Bible story each week. We also have fun, hands-on smaller group activities so kids can see how the Bible story and lesson apply to their lives.
Wednesday: During Legacy Kids on Wednesdays, we dive deeper into the Sunday morning Bible story and how it applies to our lives. Every kid is welcome on Wednesdays, whether they came Sunday or not. No pre-registration is necessary.
Preschool
Sunday: Legacy Kids starts classes for kids at age 3. Preschoolers learn age-appropriate Bible stories and simple, easy memory verses. We have music, hands-on activities, craft projects and games that all help teach the lesson for that week, but there is also a lot of time for free play. We often have simple snacks, such as goldfish or animal crackers, so please be sure to let us know about any food allergies.
Wednesday: Preschoolers also have their very own class on Wednesdays where they will learn Sunday’s Bible story in a brand new way. Kids love the video element each week, along with the music, games and crafts.
Nursery
Sunday: Each week we have a staffed nursery available for kids under 2. If your child needs you during their visit to the nursery, we will send you a text message; we don’t let kids cry for more than a few minutes. Please set your phone to vibrate during the service.
Wednesday: Each Wednesday evening, Legacy Kids will have a staffed nursery for parents who are attending a class of their own. Babies and toddlers are loved and cuddled by our volunteers.
Worship & Family Worship Room
Kids are always welcome in worship if you prefer to keep them with you during service! We encourage families to attend worship together each week, as well as attending an hour of Legacy Kids.
The room outside the sanctuary and behind the fireplace is the Family Worship Room. It is available anytime for parents who want to be part of worship, but allow their kids to move around and be a little noisy.
Nursing Mom’s Room
You can nurse your child and continue to participate in worship in the Nursing Mom’s Room. There are 3 rocking chairs along with a television and fully stocked room available for use. It is located down the hallway heading to door 3 off the fireplace.
