Position Overview:

 

The Ministry/Administrative Assistant provides vital administrative and clerical support for the church’s pastoral and ministry teams. This individual is the first point of contact for visitors, congregants, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and organized office environment. The role involves managing communication, coordinating schedules, handling records, and supporting church events and activities. A strong sense of confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and a dedication to the church’s mission are essential.

 

 

Duty/Responsibility: Office Administration Percent: 50 Frequency: Daily

Tasks Involved

● Direct telephone calls, visitors, emails to appropriate staff

● Maintain awareness of staff schedules, locations, and availability

● Grasp understanding of church schedules, events, and member information

● Prepare and distribute mailings from church, staff, and groups

● Manage office phone system and copier print system

● Maintain and restock office supply inventory

● Assist staff with office tasks, such as copying, prepping, distributing, etc. when available

● Maintain church, calendars, groups, attendance, events, etc. accordingly

● Facilitate background check system

● Assist Operations Director with financial transaction processing

● Maintain CCB system administration

● Maintain push system admin administration

 

 

Duty/Responsibility: Organizational Communication Percent: 50 Frequency: Daily

Tasks Involved

● Distribute weekly pastor email

● Update website information as needed

● Prepare, print, and record Weekly Connect

● Prepare monthly announcement sheet

● Coordinate all corporate communications, including announcements, media, screens, posters, etc.

● Oversee website and corporate communications

Classification: Permanent; 30 hours/week

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience


Position Overview:


The Custodial Services Team Member at Legacy UMC is responsible for the daily cleaning, maintenance, and general upkeep of church facilities, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all members and visitors. This role includes tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and basic repairs, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and care. The Team Member will follow proper procedures to avoid damage to church property, using equipment safely and responsibly. A strong attention to detail, respect for church property, and a commitment to creating a clean and hospitable atmosphere are essential to this role.


Duty/Responsibility: Routine Cleaning Percent: 80 Frequency: Daily

Tasks Involved

● Perform weekly cleaning tasks as outlined in custodial procedures manual

● Report all maintenance needs to Operations Director

● Notify Operations Director of all supply needs

● Maintain all custodial rooms in an efficient and organized environment

● Coordinate cleaning efforts with external facility users

Duty/Responsibility: Seasonal Cleaning Percent: 20 Frequency: Seasonal

Tasks Involved

● Perform deep cleaning procedures as outlined in custodial procedures manual at appropriate times

● Review cleaning schedules and procedures and make adjustment recommendations when necessary

● Snow and ice removal from sidewalks and parking lot
