We were created to be in authentic community. Our life groups serve as our primary place of connection for friendships and spiritual growth within the church. Groups are based on geographical location, gender, marital status and age – whatever you need to take the next step in your faith. They are open to everyone. Start growing in faith today!
Regular opportunities for spiritual growth by expanding your knowledge of God are offered on Wednesdays and Sundays in a classroom setting at Legacy.
A life group is a group of 3-30 people who meet together regularly with the purpose of growing in their faith. Frequency of meetings is determined by the life group members.
There are two goals for a life group:
We are created in the image of a God whose existence literally is community—in the persons of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit—and God intends for us to live in community as well. We also all know we are not yet fully who God has created us to be.
There are two pivotal questions that can help us live into God’s plan:
Growth happens when we act on the area where God is speaking to us. Something powerful happens when we speak out loud the answers to these questions. We are much more likely to act on the things we name out loud with trusted friends, as we are encouraged and held accountable together.
Just as consistent times of physical training yield positive results, consistent time of gathering in small groups and answering these questions will yield strong community and spiritual growth in our lives.
Join us Thursdays from 9-10 am at Legacy to connect, grow closer to God through Bible study and do life together. No matter where you are in your season of life or walk with Christ, you are welcome!
The 1st Thursday of the month from 11:00 am -1:00 pm, in the Community Room. This group usually does a book study with discussion and prayer.
The 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm, in the Community Room or in homes. This group is currently studying Woman of God by Cindy Bunch.
Join us on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Gathering Space.
Bringing people and their creative talents together to serve others! Join us on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month at 10am in Community Room 1. Everyone is welcome – there are tasks for all skill levels! If you are interested in crocheting or knitting, we have teachers. Projects include crafting and quilting items for the annual sale, baby quilts for baptisms and prayer shawls for those who are ill.
We are a group of couples who want to figure out how to use God’s plan for our lives at home, at work and as we raise our families. We like to have fun while studying God’s word, and desire to serve Christ in our community. Join us Sundays from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Join us in prayer virtually every Sunday at 8:30 pm. Everyone welcome!
Hearing God’s voice with confidence takes practice. A great way to learn is through Lectio Divina, a method of Scripture meditation developed by Benedict in the sixth century. Three times we read the Bible passage and then pray or journal quietly for a few minutes to help us listen to the Spirit. Each reading is guided by a focus question. No prior experience in the practice is necessary. Come as you are Tuesday mornings at 6:30.

Legacy provides volunteers to deliver prepared meals to the elderly and persons with disabilities during the month of February.
We deliver meals (homemade or purchased) to families encountering unexpected stress so they don’t have to worry about this one thing. No meetings or obligations. Just serve when you can. Contact Ashley@legacyumc.org if you are interested in helping.
Join the team of writers who author periodic devotionals to complement our sermon series. Writing must introduce readers to Christ through relatable experiences, stories or insight, and encourage faith development through Bible study.
