JULY 2012

Back on May 6th, Legacy officially kicked off the Build Phase of our project with an awesome and well attended groundbreaking ceremony at the land. Thanks for sharing in this very special event in the life of our church!
So, where are we now?
The City of Bismarck made final approval of our plans at the April 24 City Commission meeting, allowing us to move forward with our project.
All of the preliminary dirtwork has been completed. This means the entire site has been graded to final elevation points. It also means our contractors can start construction shortly. July should be a pretty active month as footings will be poured and the foundation should be set. Once those items are complete, the building will begin to take shape!
Much of the dirtwork is noticeable from Washington Street. The building site is level, the parking lots and driveways are roughed in, and even the berm for the outdoor amphitheatre has been built. It's a pretty sweet site for those of us who have been waiting ten plus years! We anticipate that o ur access road off of Washington Street (Durango Drive) should also be constructed this summer.
It is imperative that we honor the contractor's request to stay off the site from this point forward due to safety issues and potential danger to workers and visitors. We will make every effort to post pictures and video to our website and provide weekly updates on our announcement screen for you!
Once again, we understand that many of you have made pledges to this project and will be fullfilling them over the next three years. However, if you have the ability to make advance payments, our project will benefit even more. Every dollar received early reduces interest expense payments.
