Here at Legacy UMC we practice Risk-taking Mission & Service.
Legacy offers a variety of opportunities for volunteers to serve. If an area you are passionate about has yet to be addressed, consider starting up your own Team of Twelve! It can be for a one-time project or something ongoing. See our existing ministries below.
Heart N Hand
Bringing people and their creative talents together to serve others
Join us the 4th Thursday of the month at 10 am in the Community Room near the front entrance. Everyone is welcome – there are tasks for all skill levels! If you are interested in crocheting or knitting, we have teachers.
Projects include bread covers for Solar Ovens, school bags for United Methodist Committee on Relief, baby quilts for baptisms and prayer shawls for those who are ill.
We plant and maintain the community garden located behind the church; we also provide garden plots that are available to rent for a small fee. We’re always looking for more green thumbs, or anyone who likes to dig in some dirt. We typically meet on Wednesdays from June through September. A team member oversees an evening of garden maintenance and harvest from 6-8 pm. Everyone is invited to help!
To sign up, contact Gina at 701.258.1723.
We deliver meals (homemade or ordered) to families encoutering unexpected stress so they don’t have to worry about this one thing. No meetings or obligations. Just serve when you can.

Carrie’s Kids Meals
Legacy supports the ministry of Carrie’s Kids by preparing meals for the kids and teens that receive services there. The meals are usually prepped at our church on Sundays or Mondays with some flexibility depending on volunteers’ schedules. We also take donations of cookies, food for meal prep, and volunteers to serve and clean after meals. Sign up here!
